not a human, but with a crisp middle temporal gyrus. who is it? 🙂

more 3D printing, the idea here was to use white material to get a nice diffuse glow when illuminated from inside, but it turned out to be not transparent enough.

the template brain is called ChimpYerkes29, taken from the BALSA database.

I feel the deviation from the human brain is most visible, when you rotate a bit and look at the visual cortex, much less folding. macaque brain for scale!

back from the CuttingEEGX conference & adding the shiny sticker to my laptop sticker collection. ✨

had to opportunity to talk with fun people about fun topics (measurement & analysis of oscillations, 〰️-theory building) in the CuttingEEGX ‘Evolving Oscillations’ session as the session chair.

just came back from #SPR2024, soaking up sun + good vibes in Prague 🌟

we had a really nice symposium “A Century of the Berger Rhythm: Then and Now” (only too short, we need to do a longer rhythms workshop somewhere 🙂)

sometimes for electrophysiological signals, mean spectral power in specific frequency bands is computed, often with a kind of normalization.
