influence of distance between a source & sensor on MEG activity

when recording from the brain using MEG, distance to the sensors is crucial in determining the signal. here is a fun test we ran when presenting auditory stimuli: squeezing the participant close to the sensors results in quite a boost in evoked response amplitude. pic.twitter.com/kAuARUFHCs
