using triangular basis functions to generate signal

we often use Fourier analysis (=sinusoids) to represent brain signals. does this mean that there are many sine oscillators in the brain (1 per frequency)? we can also use triangular functions to reconstruct the signal. so are there 1000 tiny triangular oscillators in the brain? pic.twitter.com/P1b3CTg4gw
